The Frog and the ox



"โอพ่อจ๋า

กบตัวน้อยพูดกับกบตัวใหญ่ที่นั่งอยู่ข้างสระน้ำแห่งหนึ่ง

"ฉันได้เห็นสัตว์ประหลาดตัวใหญ่เบ้อเร่อทีเดียว

ตัวมันใหญ่โตเหมือนภูเขา

มีเขาอยู่บนหัว

มีหางยาว

กีบเท้าของมันยาวออกมาเป็นสองซีก

"ถุย, ลูกเอ๋ย,ถุย

กบตัวอายุมากพูด

"นั่นคือพ่อวัวของลุงขาวชาวนาเท่านั้นเอง

มันก็ไม่ใช่ว่าจะใหญ่โตเท่าใดนัก

มันอาจสูงกว่าพ่อเพียงนิดหน่อยเท่านั้น

แต่พ่อสามารถทำให้ตัวพ่อเองกว้างใหญ่เท่ากับมันได้ไม่ยาก

คอยดูนะ

แล้วมันก็เบ่งตัวเองออกมา

เบ่งออกมา

เบ่งออกมา

มันใหญ่แค่นี้ได้ไหม?

มันถาม

"โอย, ยังใหญ่กว่านั้นอีกเยอะ

ลูกกบตัวน้อยบอก

กบตัวพ่อก็เบ่งตัวใหญ่ขึ้นอีก

แล้วก็ถามตัวลูกว่าวัวตัวนั้น

"ใหญ่กว่านั้น, พ่อ, มันใหญ่กว่านั้น

นี่คือ คำตอบ

ดังนั้นพ่อกบจึงสูดหายใจลึก

เบ่ง เบ่ง แล้วก็เบ่ง

ตัวมันก็พองขึ้น,พองขึ้น และพองขึ้น

แล้วมันก็พูดขึ้นว่า

"พ่อมั่นใจเหลือเกินว่า วัวตัวนั้นคงไม่ใหญ่เท่า-
